  • 1995 US Department of Education funds “El Hogar de la Paz” Grant to study efficacy of community roll-out of PeaceBuilders.

  • 1996 US CDC renews PeaceBuilders for longitudinal study for effectiveness, 1 of 4 programs renewed of the original 16 studied.

  • 1996 Drug Strategies publishes “Safe Schools, Safe Students: A Guide to Violence Prevention Strategies” PeaceBuilders receives grade of “A”.

  • 2002 Virginia Department of Health names PeaceBuilders a Promising Program, as part of its statewide initiative.

  • 2002 US Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration Names PeaceBuilders Program Promising, rating 3.8 out 5.

  • 2003 US Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration Names PeaceBuilders Program to NREPP List as Promising, rating 3.95 out of 5. (Score of 3 out of 5 is Promising, 4 out of 5 is Exemplary)
